Q: When I try to install Personal or Professional Numerologist, the Installation Programs aborts, and the program is not installed. How can I install these programs?+
This can happen when another program, usually anti-virus software, is running in the background and interferes with the installation process. We recommend that you turn off your anti-virus program and then re-run the Installation program:
Method 1: The System Tray Icon (Fastest)
The vast majority of antivirus programs run a background utility in your Windows Taskbar. This is usually the quickest way to pause protection.
-
Look at the bottom-right corner of your screen (near the clock).
-
Click the small upward arrow (^) to expand the hidden icons in your System Tray.
-
Locate your antivirus icon (e.g., a shield, a giant 'N', an 'M', etc.).
-
Right-click the icon.
-
Look for a phrase like:
-
Real-time protection: ON/OFF
-
Select the option to disable it. Most programs will ask you how long you want it turned off (e.g., For 10 minutes, Until next restart, or Permanently). Choose Until next restart or a brief time window so you don't forget to turn it back on.
Method 2: Inside the Application Settings
If right-clicking the icon only gives you an option to “Open” the program, you will need to turn it off from the main dashboard.
-
Double-click the antivirus icon in the system tray or search for the program in your Windows Start Menu to open its main interface.
-
Look for a section labeled Settings, Protection, Security, or a Gear icon.
-
Navigate to a submenu usually named Real-Time Protection, Antivirus, or Shields.
-
Toggle the main switch to Off.
-
Confirm any Windows User Account Control (UAC) prompts that pop up asking if you are sure you want to make changes.
Important Security Note: Windows is designed never to leave you completely exposed. The moment you disable a third-party antivirus, Windows Defender (the built-in Microsoft security) will usually kick in automatically to protect you in the interim. Once you finish installing your program, remember to re-enable your main antivirus or restart your PC to turn it back on.
Q: I just purchased new Activation Codes from your website. When I enter the codes, I get the error message, "Sorry, not a valid Activation Code. Please re-enter." How do I enter these codes?+
First, recheck that you have entered the Activation Code(s) correctly. If you still get this error message, then check the program version by clicking on the
Help menu and
About Professional Numerologist (or About Personal Numerologist). If you have version 4, then you must
download version 5. Once this new version is installed, click on the
Help menu,
Activate Reports and Chart and
Activate Reports/Chart. Now, click on the checkbox, "
Unlock by entering old Keys and Activation Codes (for reinstalls only)" and enter both the
Keys and
Activation Codes that you received.
Q: I reformatted (or replaced) my hard disk drive and reinstalled Personal/Professional Numerologist. When I enter the old Activation Codes, I get a message that says the codes are not valid. How do I activate the modules I previously purchased?+
Each time you install Personal/Professional Numerologist onto a clean hard disk, it creates a unique set of Keys that will be different than the ones you used to purchase your original Activation Codes. Use one of these two methods to reenter the original Keys and Activation Codes.
Method 1
This method requires Version 4.2.1 or later, or Version 5 of Personal or Professional Numerologist. To see what version you have, start the program and click on the
Help menu,
About (Program Name). The version number is shown in the dialog box that appears. If you have a version earlier than 4.2.1, you can
Update Now to Version 4.2.3 at no additional cost.
Once you have the correct version of Personal/Professional Numerologist installed, start the program and click on the
Help menu,
Activate Reports and Chart and then
Activate Reports/Chart. Click on the box, "
Unlock by entering old Keys and Activation Codes (for reinstalls only)", and make sure it is checked. Now you can enter the original Keys and Activation Codes into each of the appropriate fields. Once you have entered the Key and Activation Code for a module, click on the
Activate button to enable that module. Repeat this for each module you have purchased.
Method 2
This method works for all versions of Personal and Professional Numerologist. If you previously saved the Keys and Activation Codes to a USB Flash Drive, then insert the USB device that you created earlier into the appropriate drive on your computer and then click on the
Help menu,
Activate Reports and Chart and then
Restore Keys/Activation Codes. Enter the drive letter for your USB media and click on
OK. The original Keys and Activation Codes will be copied to your system, allowing you to run Personal/Professional Numerologist without having to manually reenter the Keys and Activation Codes.
If you did not previously save the Keys and Activation Codes, but the program is running on another computer you own, you can create the necessary removable media now. Start the program on this other system, click on the
Help menu,
Activate Reports and Charts and then
Save Keys/Activation Codes. Insert a USB Flash Drive into an empty USB port on your computer and enter the drive letter of this drive. Then click on
OK. The file
X:\Pernum Keys.dat (for Personal Numerologist) or
X:\Pnum Keys.dat (for Professional Numerologist) will be saved to the root folder, where X is the drive letter that you are saving to.
Otherwise, you will need to email us the new
Key(s) for the module(s) you purchased, along with your
Invoice # and the
Name you purchased under so we can confirm your order. The Keys are found by starting the program, and then clicking on the
Help menu and
Ordering Information. The Keys are listed to the right of the module names and can be copied and pasted into an email message. We will then email you new Activation Code(s).
Q: How do I install Personal/Professional Numerologist on another computer that I own?+
Personal/Professional Numerologist can be installed on multiple computers that you own, so long as only one copy of the program is run at a time. For example, when you are home, you may want to work from your desktop system, but when you travel, you want to be able to use Personal/Professional Numerologist from your laptop. Just install the program on the second system and then restore the Keys and Activation Codes as explained in the previous FAQ.
Important Note: the License Agreement included with Personal/Professional Numerologist allows you to run only one copy of the program at a time when it is installed on multiple computers that you own. If you want to run several copies simultaneously, you need to purchase a copy for each system.
